The smallest balloons carry 2 passengers while their largest can accommodate 24 people, including the pilot. The flight generally lasts an hour, which gives you more opportunities to revel in nature’s beauty, as well as snap a couple of photos.

Latitude 32 is born out of a dream and passion by owner Emma White, a former corporate executive, whose passion has been to travel the world learning and enjoying fine wines. At the age of 40, Emma “retired” and turned her dreams into reality by purchasing a premium vineyard in the heart of Pokolbin, allowing her to take control from grape to glass and create wines she loves.

Traditionally the world’s most renowned wine growing regions have been situated between the 30th and 50th parallels of the Earth’s equatorial plane. Nestled within this acclaimed latitude band is the Hunter Valley, positioned on the 32nd parallel, from which their name derives.

Established in 2019, Latitude 32’s brand new cellar door on Hermitage Road opened in April 2024 and is a 10 minute drive from the Vintage. At Latitude 32, they're all about blending tradition with a hefty dose of fun, creating classic, premium Hunter Valley style wines with a contemporary flair. 

Latitude 32's award winning wines include Hunter classics of Semillon, Shiraz and Chardonnay as well as exciting Hunter blends once forgotten such as “Hunter Burgundy”. Exclusive to the Cellar Door is their Regional Icons range which currently includes a Grenache Mataro and Sangiovese. On the weekend you can also expect to see the team open something a little special from their back vintage for tasting, including Method Traditionelle sparkling. 

They also offer wines by the glass as well as charcuterie and cheese plates (vegan/vegetarians also catered for) which can be enjoyed overlooking the stunning 20 acre vineyard.  Or if you are feeling more active, why not play on the outdoor giant lawn games – suitable for young and old alike. Vineyard and winery tours are also available (booking essential).

However, the man behind the name (Richard) has been helping to produce some of the Hunter Valley’s best wines for the past 15 years; Scarborough Wines, Thomas Wines, Hunter’s Dream Estate, and Bimbadgen Estate, to name a few.
